Asian polypropylene prices remained steady in the week to Oct. 7, as market participants in China were away for the National Day holiday. domestic Chinese raffia-grade polypropylene at Yuan 10,000/metric ton ex-works China and PP raffia exports at $1,235/mt FOB China, both unchanged week over week. In Southeast Asia, d raffia-grade PP at $1,280/ mt CFR Vietnam and $1,310/mt CFR Southeast Asia, unchanged from the previous week. A producer based in Indonesia said buyers were still awaiting offers from Chinese sellers following the holiday. The producer added that the softening of Brent crude prices had led buyers to anticipate lower offers when the Chinese market returned.
