Asian bottle-grade polyethylene terephthalate prices moved higher in the week ended Sept. 30, supported by tight supply and healthy export demand. PET FOB China at $1,180/metric ton Sept. 30, up $40/mt week over week, while PET FOB Southeast Asia rose $10/mt over the same period to $1,240/mt. Upstream, the ICE November Brent futures contract gained $3.09/b week over week to $102.91/b at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT) Sept. 30. Feedstock prices also firmed, with assessing purified terephthalic acid at $943/mt FOB China Sept. 30, up $17/mt week over week, and monoethylene glycol at $750/mt CFR China, up $25/mt.
