Asian paraxylene prices fell day over day Sept. 4, tracking weakness in the futures markets in China. the Asian paraxylene CFR Taiwan/China and FOB Korea markers at $1,152.67/mt and $1,132.67/mt, respectively, Sept. 4, both down $4.66/mt on day. Upstream, the front-month ICE Brent futures contract rose 13 cents/b to $95.27/b compared to the previous trading session, while the naphtha C+F Japan marker $8/mt higher on day at $863/mt. Chinese futures markets fell day over day Sept. 4. The PTA2701 and PX2611 contracts listed on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange closed at 5,922 yuan/mt and 8,654 yuan/mt, down 20 yuan/mt and 42 yuan/mt on day, respectively.
