Asian paraxylene prices fell on the trading session July 17, tracking a weaker futures market in China. the Asian paraxylene CFR Taiwan/China and FOB Korea markers at $1,054.33/metric ton and $1,033.33/mt, respectively, on July 17, both falling $8.34/mt day over day. Upstream, the front-month ICE Brent futures contract rose 41 cents/b day over day to $84.80/b, while the naphtha C+F Japan marker $14.25/mt higher day over day at $800.75/mt. Chinese futures markets closed lower. The PTA2609 and PX2609 contracts listed on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange closed at Yuan 5,690/mt and Yuan 8,034/mt, respectively, falling Yuan 32/mt and Yuan 74/mt, respectively, day over day.
