Asian orthoxylene: Prices mixed across Asia amid Lunar New Year / FOB Korea bids firm up / Aekyung to start PA line turnaround mid- April

Asian orthoxylene prices were mixed in the week to Feb. 20, with firmer bids seen for FOB Korea, while other markets await cues from the Chinese market as they are expected to return next week. the FOB Korea marker $19/mt higher week over week at $910/mt, while the FOB China, CFR China and CFR Southeast Asia markers were assessed stable at $829/mt, $835/ mt and $855/mt, respectively. Buying indications for CFR India cargoes were heard stable week over week at around $880-$890/mt for March, according to market sources surveyed, while selling indications were at approximately $900-$910/mt.
