Asian nylon-6 prices were firmer in the week to Sept. 10, supported by stronger feedstock cost. Spot offer levels were stable to higher during the week, tracking stronger domestic caprolactam prices, with sellers actively lowering their inventory level ahead of Golden Week holiday in October. "Price levels were higher this week due to tighter caprolactam supply, but customer acceptance is currently low," said a China based producer. "With the long October holiday approaching, all sellers will need to reduce their inventory levels." Meanwhile, several sources maintained their offer level, noting no signs of demand improvement, with the market remaining weighed by increased competition and supply.
