Asian MTBE prices dropped 83 cents/metric ton day over day to $611.61/mt FOB Singapore on Dec. 19, remaining rangebound amid steady gasoline swaps and weaker crude oil futures. Crude oil futures edged down in midafternoon Asian trading Dec. 19, as concerns over a global supply surplus outweighed risks of supply disruptions. At 2:44 pm Singapore time (0644 GMT), the ICE February Brent futures contract was down 13 cents/b (0.22%) day over day at $59.69/b, while the NYMEX January light sweet crude contract was down 13 cents/b (0.23%) at $56.02/b over the same period.
