Asian isomer mixed xylene prices were at $1,162/ mt FOB Korea on Oct. 2, up $9/mt day over day, while the CFR Taiwan and CFR China markers closed at $1,197/mt and $1,179/mt, respectively. Crude oil futures fell during Asian afternoon trading Oct. 2 after settling about 4% higher in the previous session amid fears of an escalation in the Middle East and the recovery in Persian Gulf oil flows. At 4:03 pm Singapore time (0803 GMT), the ICE December Brent crude oil futures contract fell $1.95/barrel, or 1.91%, from the previous close to $100.36/b, while the NYMEX November light sweet crude contract declined $2.67/b, or 2.87%, to $90.20/b Oct. 2.
