Asian isomer mixed xylene prices were at $939/ mt FOB Korea Aug. 28, up $21.50/mt day over day, while the CFR Taiwan and CFR China markers closed at $964/mt and $948/mt, respectively. Crude oil futures fell in afternoon Asian trading Aug. 28 as signs of improving oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz eased concerns over near-term supply disruptions, despite stalled USIran negotiations, putting both benchmarks on track for weekly losses even after higher settlements in the previous session. At 3:16 pm Singapore time (0716 GMT), the ICE October Brent crude oil futures contract fell 53 cents/barrel, or 0.59%, from the previous close to $89.17/b, while the NYMEX October light sweet crude contract declined 37 cents/b, or 0.44%, to $83.16/b.
