Asian Glacial Acrylic Acid: Prices rise on healthy downstream demand / Prices firm Yuan 125/mt on week / Spot supplies remain tight

Glacial acrylic acid ex-works North and East China Yuan 50/mt higher day over day and Yuan 125/mt higher week over week at Yuan 7,250/mt on Sept. 23. "The recent rise in prices is unlikely to change very soon", a producer in North Asia said, adding that spot prices may be unmoved on certain days but weak fundamentals that could prompt a drop in prices seem highly unlikely. The October holidays in China are approaching and buying interest may be high before factories close, the producer explained. "Replenishment demand should keep prices stable at least," he noted.
