Asian caprolactam prices gained for a third consecutive week on July 23, as gains in feedstock benzene supported prices. CFR Far East Asia caprolactam prices up $35/ metric ton week over week at $1,710/mt July 23, reflecting a tradable indication heard (s) around that level. In east China, caprolactam prices saw a marked increase week over week, with the molten form gaining Yuan 550/mt at Yuan 12,500/mt July 23. Caprolactam prices rose day over day given the strength in benzene and crude oil, a China-based producer said, adding that nylon-6 prices were also elevated.
