Asian caprolactam prices declined in the week ended Oct. 1, as crude oil prices eased and regional trading slowed ahead of China’s Golden Week holiday. CFR Far East Asia caprolactam $30/metric ton lower week over week at $2,010/metric ton on Oct. 1, within a tradable range of $2,010-$2,020/mt. The assessment also reflected lower crude oil prices and weak downstream demand during the week. “We did not receive any new offers from producers before mainland China’s National Day.
