Asian butadiene up $10/metric ton week over week at $1,630/mt CFR China, up $20/mt at $1,620/mt CFR Northeast Asia and up $10/mt at $1,600/mt for both FOB Korea and FOB China on Oct. 16. Market participants agreed that spot supply in Asia was limited, with few cargoes available for November. “Currently, China is still tight. The only regional cargo in November (sold at) FOB Southeast Asia $1,600/mt, will go to China. Which means CFR (Northeast Asia) about $1,750/mt,” said an end user in Northeast Asia. A spot cargo loading in the first half of November was sold at $1,600/mt FOB Southeast Asia earlier in the week, with market participants expecting the cargo to be shipped to Northeast Asia.
