Asian Butadiene: Inches up week over week amid tight supply, low demand / Lotte to shut steam cracker early September / Domestic China prices, futures rising

Asian butadiene inched up $10/metric ton week over week to Aug. 28, with assessing CFR China and CFR Northeast Asia prices at $1,510/mt. Indications of tradable levels ranged from the low $1,400s/mt to $1,600/mt on a CFR basis. Selling indications for FOB China cargoes were heard at about $1,550-$1,600/mt as domestic prices increased. the local China ex-tank price of butadiene up 150 yuan/mt day over day at 12,650 yuan/mt Aug. 28, at an importparity price of $1,619/mt, in line with rising synthetic rubber futures.
