Fundamentals across the Asian acetic acid and vinyl acetate monomer markets were broadly bullish in the week to Sept. 3, underpinned by rising feedstock costs and regional plant outages that tightened prompt supply availability. In the domestic market, the East China AA price at 3,450 yuan/metric ton ex-tank, up 300 yuan/mt, or 9.5%, week over week amid active discussions at 3,400-3,500 yuan/mt ex-tank on Sept. 3. Feedstock methanol prices in east China rose 18.39% week over week to 3,360 yuan/mt Sept. 3, data showed.
