Asian MTBE FOB Singapore at $962.46/ metric ton on Aug. 28, down $10.35/mt day over day, with the cash differential to the FOB Singapore 92 RON gasoline Mean of Singapore Strip (15- 40 days) declining to plus $5.78/barrel. Prices for Chinese-origin cargoes also moved slightly lower, with focus slowly shifting to October-loading barrels, traders said. At the Asian close Aug. 28, the FOB China marker was down $5/mt to $945/mt, according to data. A buyer in Singapore cited an offer for September-loading cargoes at about $950/mt, although no cargoes were reported to have been traded. “The price is not right.
