Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps will not approve ship transits through the waterway “as long as hostile actions of the US continue,” semi-official news agency Fars reported July 19. however, there were at least 13 ships inside the key waterway as of 1646 Dubai time (1246 GMT) on July 19. Ship transits through the Strait of Hormuz fell to 13 on July 16, from 18 a day before, well below preconflict levels as heightened security risks persist, previously reported.
