The Asian jet fuel/kerosene prices remained under pressure Aug. 28, weighed down by anticipated Chinese cargoes in the spot market as South Korea’s September-loading program concludes. Brokers pegged the front-month September- October FOB Singapore jet fuel/kerosene swaps time spread — an indicator of the near-term market outlook — at plus $1.97/b in midmorning trading Aug. 28, up from the assessment of plus $1.40/b on Aug. 27, but down from plus $6.30/b at the start of the month. Further ahead, China is likely to continue exporting clean oil products in September without additional curbs on overall volumes and destinations, state-owned refinery sources and analysts told on Aug. 27.
