The Asian gasoline complex was rangebound to softer Aug. 28 amid signals of easing supply from the Strait of Hormuz. Crude oil futures fell in afternoon Asian trading Aug. 28 as signs of improving oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz eased concerns over near-term supply disruptions despite stalled US-Iran negotiations. In the higher octane blending market, some market participants were heard to have been fairly short on reformate, according to a South Asia-based market source.
