Asian spot 2-EH prices were stable in the week to April 9 after a five-week uptrend. China-based producers kept offer levels largely steady despite fluctuations in upstream crude oil prices. With weaker domestic demand compared with overseas markets, producers have been focusing more on exports, where demand is stronger and prices are more attractive, according to market participants. "The main factor is the decline in crude prices; there has been little change in market fundamentals," a China-based producer said, as domestic prices eased over the week.
